Michelle Obama Attempting To Break Guinness Jumping Jacks Record

Michelle Obama is recruiting kids to help her get into the record books. Michelle is teaming with National Geographic Kids to get into the Guinness World Records book for the most people doing jumping jacks over the course of a 24-hour period, reports the Associated Press.

On October 11, Guinness officials will be on hand to judge while Obama does a solid minute of jumping jacks along with hundreds of Washington D.C. school children on the South Lawn. The event is part of Let’s Move,  Michelle campaign against childhood obesity.

To break the record, more than 20,425 people need to get on their feet and perform jumping jacks for one minute  between 3 p.m. local time Oct. 11 and 3 p.m. Oct. 12. You don’t have to be in the D.C. area to jump along with the First Lady. Official jump event locations, rules and other information can be found on the National Geographic Kids’ Let’s Jump! website.
