Obama’s School Speech, Wasn’t Understood

A Belleville West High School student was beaten aboard a bus on the way to school Monday. This bus is full of cheers as the white student gets beaten by black students. The underage victim’s face has been blurred to protect his identity. Video Courtesy of Belleville Police Department.

The victim walked onto the bus, looking for an open seat, but students kept turning him down. The victim apparently tired of asking for a seat moved one student’s book-bag off a seat, and just sat down. The student next to him then started hitting the victim for moving his bag. The second assailant was trying to act tough.

Why this post, Obama’s School Speech. I didn’t post anything about this because it was a bunch of BULLS….(shavingcream). This was only a week ago, Obama made statements like, ‘But at the end of the day, … none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities.” Obama uttered, ‘I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself. Every single one of you has something you’re good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That’s the opportunity an education can provide.’

Obama went on saying, ‘And no matter what you want to do with your life  I guarantee that you’ll need an education to do it. You want to be a doctor, or a teacher, or a police officer? You want to be a nurse or an architect, a lawyer or a member of our military? You’re going to need a good education for every single one of those careers.’ Then Obama finished his POLITICAL AGENDA with, ‘So today, I want to ask you, what’s your contribution going to be? What problems are you going to solve? What discoveries will you make? What will a president who comes here in twenty or fifty or one hundred years say about what all of you did for this country?

Look at that video again, and tell me Obama reached this children. Look at that video and tell me Obama had a successful message the these children wanted to hear. Look at that video and tell me they understood Obama and will be better citizens that plan that doctor, teacher, police officer, nurse, architect, lawyer or a member of our military. I don’t see anyone shouting, REMEMBER OBAMA’S SPEECH! Oh no! We had to let Obama talk, We had to hear his message, Obama will your Health Care Plan cover injuries from violent attacks on school grounds. I’m wondering now…what does that young man feel NOW?

  1. I am sure he never expected to reach ALL children, as that is practically impossible. Anyhow, have you checked your grammar lately? Tsk, tsk! It seems he didn’t reach YOU either. He was trying to make a point that education is important, take his advice and don’t end up… OOPS sorry, too late.

Blacksentinel, that child was beaten by two students, and your only concern is grammer in a post. That’s amazing.

theblacksentinel, there were many he didn’t reach, ‘No’ I haven’t…’you’. I’m not posting to impress YOU or other readers with writing style, or grammar. As far as my education, I AM VERY EDUCATED, so don’t try your Liberal attack on grammar because you don’t agree with the message. Readers, this is a classic example of how Liberals operate. Nothing said about the child, nothing said about the violence, nothing said about the welfare of the victim. This child was attacked TWICE within five minutes, Obama just spoke to schools about ‘personal responsibility’, that’s beyond the education realm. When Obama Liberal Supporters views are exposed they become the ‘GRAMMAR DOCTORS’ and want to find errors in grammar, sentence patterns, misplaced commas, periods/commas in quotation marks. He spent more time typing about my education that he knows nothing about. This is to make you THINK they are SMART like theblacksentinel has tried to do. A 1:38 minute video of a child was posted and the only thing theblacksentinel was concerned about was my GRAMMAR. theblacksentinel’s comment shows you how CONCERNED SOME PEOPLE ARE. theblacksentinel, you are welcome here…always. Don’t be a stranger.

Safe And Sound, Truly Amazing. Let’s not holding that against him. Thanks for stopping by, don’t be a stranger.

  2. Funny, I don’t recall anywhere in my reply saying that I disagreed with what was said. I simply said that it was obvious that he wouldn’t reach every child. You were pointing out ignorance all the while displaying it. I was merely pointing that out.

And it never ceases to amaze me that as soon as you make a comment pointing out lack in one’s education all of a sudden you start being called a liberal. You don’t know my background at all but somehow you made a big assumption.

Also, because I don’t come here and profess my love of your post I am somehow an unconcerned citizen, please. I see bullies on a bus. I see a few concerned and very educated students get up and put a stop to the bullying. What I don’t see is how this ties in with a speech from a president.

I guess we can also surmise that the rise in meth, crack, cocaine and heroine was attributed to the fact that Ronald Reagan didn’t do a very good job in his speech to kids about drugs. Of course not. He reached who he was going to reach. The others wouldn’t have cared anyhow.

This is my point. Not that the beating doesn’t matter. I am merely wondering what this has to do with Obama. And please don’t start your accusations that most Republicans make that I am some out of control Obama supporter, because I’m not. I personally don’t care for him nor the majority of people in our government.

So, please try a new line of insult as liberal does nothing to further concerns that the pot is calling two kettles black. I realize that not everyone is concerned with education and correct grammar. But, if I am going to point people out for not taking speeches about education seriously, then I am going make damn sure I show myself to have done so.

    Safe And Sound,

Funny that you mention that, because from reading the comments I can add that two kids beat one kid down on a school bus and all you have to comment about is my not commenting about it. Now that is classic.

theblacksentinel, I’m surprised you even came back, At least you’re not a POST-BY. Most of the post I make are not LOVED by the readers. You don’t know me as well as I don’t know you. Judgments can be evil, you judge me, I judge you. You seemed like a Liberal, so I treated you like a Liberal, I seemed uneducated, you commented like I was uneducated. If your point was ‘what this post had to do with Obama’ you should have stated that instead of pulling out the ‘grammar card’. We could have been discussing this instead of how insulted who. The title ‘Obama’s School Speech, Wasn’t Understood’ and I finished with ‘Look at that video and tell me Obama had a successful message that these children wanted to hear. Look at that video and tell me they understood Obama and will be better citizens that plan that doctor, teacher, police officer, nurse, architect, lawyer or a member of our military.’ (corrected for you) If anyone, regardless of position, takes the time to make broadcasts that schools are forced to air, it should have some kind of impact. Reagan didn’t do a great job with drug use, neither did Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Bush and Clinton. You can add Obama to that list too, drugs run America, politicians know that. Obama spoke about ‘‘personal responsibility’. These children are fighting over what appears to be a seat…we can’t sit where we want to without getting beaten, twice. I visited your site, and start reading you last post (I didn’t finish). I will visit later on and read more. You may have a site I like to visit, like a few on your blogroll. As I commented told Safe And Sound, I’m not holding this against you. (I see that I typed ‘Let’s not holding that against him’..hum)

  3. Sorry for the delay, been busy. I agree that Obama did NOT reach these kids. There are probably a lot he didn’t reach. Not all schools were forced to air the presidents speech.

In fact I live not to far from this school bus bully scene and where I am they did NOT air the speech. They taped it and played it for the kids if they deemed it appropriate and parents were on board.

So a LOT of kids never heard it and therefore didn’t have the chance to even be affected one way or another. Also, I don’t hold grudges unless you just really, REALLY rub me the wrong way.

Also, I wouldn’t say that I am liberal which doesn’t mean much to me. I am just me, independent with leaning all ways you can lean. I personally don’t like to be labeled when it comes to politics.

    Thanks.
