No need to buy expensive golf clubsgolf club tape. Just use standard 2-inch wide masking tape and run it straight down the shaft. I just replaced the manufacturer’s original grip on my Titlist Volkey wedge and that’s what they do. If it’s good enough for one of the game’s premier manufacturers to use on the #1 wedge on tour, it should be good enough for the rest of us.
Of course you need to use rubber or contact cement to provide the adhesive that would be present on double sided tape.
