Poll: GOP Thinks Obama Is Racist, Socialist, Non-U.S. Citizen

A new poll of 2,000+ self-identified Republican voters, think that President Obama is racist, socialist or a non-US citizen. What kind of polling is this? What did Kos/Researh expect when they asked republican voters about the sitting Liberal President? The Daily Kos Republican Poll was conducted by Research 2000 from January 20 through January 31, 2010. A total of 2003 self identified Republicans were interviewed nationally by telephone.

• 39 percent of Republicans believe Obama should be impeached, 29 percent are not sure, 32 percent said he should not be voted out of office.

Police Taser High School Student After Fight

The story reported: Police officers used a Taser to stun a student after a fight broke out at a high school basketball game in Monessen, Pa., MyFoxDC.com reported.

After watching the raw video, you see two students were tased. First at min 1:03; second at min 3:33; third at min 3:54; fourth at min 4:02. The incident happened outside the gymnasium at Monessen High School during a game with Washington High Friday. Two girls from competing schools began fighting in the hallway.

Controlling a high school crowd is very hard, expecially when a fights starts. My question is the disorderly conduct of the officer that did the tasing. Looking at the video you see this officer determined to taser the student, while on the ground, contained by officers and in the back shoulder as he leave the gym. Do you think charges need’s to be filed against this officer? Political Note= Will Obama Make Mention Of This Like He Did With Gates/Crowley?

China Warns Obama On Meeting With Dalai Lama

China has warned Barack Obama not to meet with Tibet’s spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, saying such a meeting would harm bilateral relations. China considers the Tibetan leader a dangerous separatist, and opposes any such meeting. The Dalai Lama fled to India in 1959 following a failed uprising against Chinese rule. He claims he isn’t campaigning for Tibetan independence but only seeks ‘meaningful autonomy’ for Tibetan areas within the framework of Chinese sovereignty over Tibet. The Chinese government said that it would give “no concessions” on the issue of Tibet’s sovereignty but the “door remained open” for talks with the Dalai Lama.

Given that India has offered refuge to the Dalai Lama and the countless Tibetans who’ve fled their homeland, China’s strategy on Tibet lies in ‘waiting out’ the Dalai Lama.
Envoys of the Tibetan religious leader have been in Beijing this past week for the ninth round of talks with the Chinese government on the question of Tibet’s autonomy. The Dalai Lama maintains that his demands for greater autonomy were within the limits of the Chinese constitution. He wants the Chinese government to do more to protect the religious rights and ethnic identity of Tibetans, which he says have been eroded under the Communist Party’s rule. China said a meeting between the Dalai Lama and Obama would set back ties with the U.S. that have soured in recent weeks.

Female Suicide Bomber Kills 54 In Iraq

A woman who veiled her explosives in a black robe struck a column of Shi’ite pilgrims on the outskirts of Baghdad. The female suicide bomber killed 54 people, including 18 women and 12 children, were killed and 117 were wounded 54, after she detonated an explosive belt. The pilgrimage was banned by Saddam Hussein’s government, it resumed with the Shi’ite majority after the US invasion in 2003. It has been attacked on a regular basis. The attack was staged along a major roadway in an industrial district on the northern edge of Baghdad. Two more attacks, one with a grenade, another with a roadside bomb, later struck more pilgrims in southern Baghdad, injuring 16.

Obama Seeks $1.1 Trillion In Tax Hikes

Obama is proposing to cut some taxes for companies that hire workers. The budget proposal would extend Obama’s Making Work Pay tax credit ($400 for individuals, $800 for a couple filing jointly) through 2011. The budget would give companies a $5,000 tax credit for each new worker they hire in 2010.

Obama would increase taxes on some businesses and wealthy individuals by a total of about $1.4 trillion over the next decade, while cutting taxes for middle-class workers and other businesses by about $330 billion. Obama’s a campaign pledge was to increase taxes on wealthy families. The budget also impose nearly $1 trillion in higher taxes on couples making more than $250,000 and individuals making more than $200,000 by not renewing tax cuts enacted under former President George W. Bush.

The budget proposal expanded the Earned Income Tax Credit for low-income families with three or more children, at a cost of $15 billion over the next decade and eliminating $760 million by advanced payments of the credit.

The budget proposal would raise the top two income tax rates for individuals, from 33 percent and 35 percent, to 36 percent and 39.6 percent, limit the itemized tax deductions high earners can claim for charitable donations, mortgage interest and state and local taxes, increase the top capital gains tax rate from 15 percent to 20 percent for families making more than $250,000 a year and individuals making more than $200,000, make the research and experimentation tax credit permanent, extend a provision allowing businesses buying equipment such as computers to speed up depreciation through 2010, eliminate capital gains taxes on the sale of some small business stocks, restrict the ability of international companies to defer taxes on profits made overseas, impose a total of about $39 billion in tax increases on oil, gas and coal companies over the next decade, and change the way profits made by investment fund managers are taxed.
