Dalai Lama Fist Bump
The Dalai Lama went to Memphis to receive the National Civil Rights Museum’s Freedom Award. While visiting the Dalai Lamma was escorted the Shelby County Mayor AC Wharton and the Memphis City acting Mayor Myron Lowery. Obama Kool Aid Drinking Lowery told the Dalai Lama, “Here we also have a tradition,” then decided that he would “Obama Fist Bump” the Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama didn’t understand at first, he then added the “Dalai Lama Twist” to the bump. “You say you’ve got a sense of humor,” Lowery said, “I’ve always wanted to say Hello Dalai.” Wharton and Lowery are running for Mayor of Memphis in October. Lowery used the “Obama Fist Bump” to win support of the Memphis voters.
