January 22, Promising to return America to the “moral high ground” in the war on terrorism, President Obama issued three executive orders to demonstrate a clean break from the Bush administration, including one requiring that the Guantanamo Bay detention facility be closed within a year. The liberals celebrated, the Obama Kool-Aid Drinker couldn’t stop blogging, the media had all day coverage. During the signing ceremony  Obama reaffirmed his inauguration pledge that the United States does not have “to continue with a false choice between our safety and our ideals.” Obama said he was issuing the order to close the facility in order to “restore the standards of due process and the core constitutional values that have made this country great even in the midst of war, even in dealing with terrorism.”

May 20, Funds to Close Guantánamo Denied. The Senate voted overwhelmingly to cut from a war spending bill the $80 million requested by President Obama to close the detention center at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, and to bar the transfer of detainees to the United States and its territories. The vote was 90 to 6. The six Democrats who voted against the measure were Senators Carl Levin of Michigan, the chairman of the Armed Services Committee; Jack Reed of Rhode Island, a West Point graduate and former Army Ranger, and Patrick Leahy of Vermont, the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Senators Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, the majority whip, Tom Harkin of Iowa and Sheldon White house of Rhode Island. Senate Democratic leaders stripped out the money for not providing a more detailed plan for what will be done with the 240 detainees currently held in the prison. House Democrats had already stripped the money from their version of the military spending bill, saying they could not authorize funds without first reviewing Obama’s plans for the prisoners.

What does this mean for Obama, has he lost control of his followers, has the Kool-Aid Drinkers switched to TEA? The more Obama dives into Guantanamo, the more he sinks. He was to eager to undo President Bush’s plans, now his actions has backfired. Obama will never understanding Guantanamo, he is a Liberal, a Bush Hating Liberal, a Muslim Bush Hating Liberal, who listens to Nancy Pelosi, who has lied about her involvement about Guantanamo information. Obama was asked in detail how he plans to close the Guantánamo detention center and to provide assurances that detainees would not end up on American soil, not even in maximum security prisons. He couldn’t that’s why his funds to close Guantánamo were denied.

Obama went to his producers for another televised lie saying, “We are cleaning up something that is, quite simply, a mess; a misguided experiment that has left in its wake a flood of legal challenges that my administration is forced to deal with on a constant basis, and that consumes the time of government officials whose time should be spent on better protecting our country,” Obama said, “Where demanded by justice and national security, we will seek to transfer some detainees to the same type of facilities in which we hold all manner of dangerous and violent criminals within our borders highly secure prisons that ensure the public safety.” Obama said that, while some of the 240 detainees at Guantánamo could face trial in federal courts, others would be tried by military commissions and a few dozen would be resettled, if possible, in third countries. Obama that is so kind of you to protect your muslim brothers.

Administration officials have indicated that if the Guantánamo camp closes as scheduled more than 100 prisoners may need to be moved to the United States, including 50 to 100 who have been described as too dangerous to release, Obama still wants this place closed.
