He Was Punch Drunk, Now He’s G20 Drunk

402Giggles is at it again, this time at the G20 Summit meetings in London. There’s Giggles, center stage, and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi gives a big thumbs up, with his arms around President Obama and Russian President Dmitri Medvedev. At first I missed this, but Giggles has his thumb up also. I guess it’s funny to joke around with $1 trillion pumped into the global economy. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, called the investment the “largest macroeconomic stimulus the world has ever seen.” President Obama said “I think the steps in the communique were necessary. Whether they’re sufficient, we’ve got to wait and see,” Thumbs up!

* G20 leaders (first row from left to right) include: Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz, Chinese President Hu Jintao, Britain’s Prime Minister Gordon Brown, (second row from left to right) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Thai Prime Minister and chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Abhisit Vejjajiva, U.S. President Barack Obama, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and New Partnership for Africa’s Development Meles Zenawi.

Michelle Obama Touches Queen Elizabeth

America’s First Lady Michelle Obama broke royal protocol during a reception at Buckingham Palace when she placed her arm around the Queen of England. Her Majesty returned the gesture by putting her arm round Mrs. Obama’s waist, way out of the normal. Here’s the question, did Michelle breached protocol, by placing her hand on Her Majesty’s back? Yes, regardless of on air comments, touching the Queen of England is a definite no no, under most circumstances.

This started when Queen Elizabeth told the first lady, said she hoped they could stay in touch. The Queen broke royal etiquette herself by touching Michelle on the back. Michelle in return gave the Queen a back pat. Again, touching the Queen of England is a definite no no, under most circumstances.
The Obamas presented the Queen with an ipod loaded with about forty Broadway show tunes. I know the Queen has an ipod, its the thought that counts. Now this breech of protocol. So what’s the big deal, Touching the Queen of England is a definite no no, under most circumstances. What do you think about this?
