Obama On The Tonight Show

Obama 2008Obama said his Thursday appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” is not keeping him from pressing matters. He’s right after you factor in the fact that Actors need The Tonight Show to promote their business. Don’t think for one minute that Obama didn’t make that appearance with no agenda in mind. Obama has used many media outlets to connect with as many Americans as possible, The View, Sunday morning talk shows and now Leno, joking about his bowling skills and made a off-handed remark “He bowled a 129, like the Special Olympics or something”. Now where is the outcry ! Then he remembered he was the president and started to discuss issues in Washington, the AIG bonuses and the performance of his treasury secretary.

The EmptySuit went as far as revealing his NCAA tournament picks. I have to remind you AIG has distributed $165 million in bonuses, Obama is on “The Tonight Show” joking. I guess since its tax payers money and he got his $104,332, the country issues doesn’t matter. That’s how you run Hollywood, or America in Obama’s eyes. And what better way could he sale his rehearsed speech about AIG and the economy, “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno”.

Obama tells Leno he was stunned by AIG bonuses like he was really shocked. What Obama did tell Leno was that he didn’t read the proposal and that he received $104,332 from AIG. See this is nothing but actors doing their job. And the EmptySuit was there, center stage. “These financial industries are holding us hostage,” Obama said. Last time I checked “A hostage is a person or entity which is held by a captor.” and it didn’t look like Obama was held by a captor to me.

How many times did I hear Obama state this line, “Look, I’m the president. Ultimately, it’s my responsibility,” probably all day. Then trying to sound serious he promising to do everything he could to “get these bonuses back.” Like go on “The Tonight Show”. This is becoming a BIG JOKE
