Defense Secretary Gates: U.S. Not Prepared to Respond to North Korea Missile Launch
The Defense Secretary Robert Gates told “FOX News Sunday” that the United States can do nothing to stop North Korea from test-firing a long-range missile. This is disturbing simply because Obama has not and never spoke about the duties of Commander And Chief. Obama has never been direct as how he would run the military. See Obama want’s to make the nation feel good, and that’ fine. He appears on ‘The Tonight Show’, and the Obama Kool Aid Drinkers go wild, he makes an appearance on ‘60 Minutes’ and giggles through an interview to the point that the interviewer ask him ‘are you punch drunk?’ and the Obama Kool Aid Drinkers just faint. Now you have to ask the question will Obama stand up for the country if we are under attack.
I must remind you that the nation has forgotten what the duties of President Of The United States are. People think that the president must, provide kitchen appliances for their homes, pay their mortgage, bail out companies, provide national health care, regulate bonuses, tax those that make too much, have internet press conferences twice a week, and play with blackberries all day long. The truth is many people that vote for presidents, does not know the presidents main duty, or simply ignore the fact of presidential duties. The duties are in the constitution and the president takes an oath to uphold those duties:
The President of the United States is the head of state and head of government of the United States and is the highest political official in the United States by influence and recognition. The President leads the executive branch of the federal government and is one of only two elected members of the executive branch (the other being the Vice President of the United States).
Among other powers and responsibilities, Article II of the U.S. Constitution charges the President to “faithfully execute” federal law, makes the President commander-in-chief of the armed forces, allows the President to nominate executive and judicial officers with the advice and consent of the Senate, and allows the President to grant pardons or reprieves.
A commander-in-chief is the commander of a nation’s military forces or significant element of those forces. In the latter case, the force element may be defined as those forces within a particular region or those forces which are associated by function. As a practical term it refers to the military competencies that reside in a nation-state’s executive, head of state or government. Often, a given country’s commander-in-chief need not be or have been a commissioned officer or even a veteran, and it is by this legal statute that civilian control of the military is realized in states where it is constitutionally required.
In the United States, the oath of office for the President of the United States is specified in the U.S. Constitution (Article II, Section 1): I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
Which takes me back the the original opening statement of Obama defending this country if we are under attack. North Korea has been a thorn in the United States for some time. North Korea will be test firing a missile breaking international law and the Defense Secretary Robert Gates stated that there’s nothing we can do about it. Now Gates said “I think if we had an aberrant missile, one that was headed for Hawaii, that looked like it was headed for Hawaii or something like that, we might consider it,” and added “But I don’t think we have any plans to do anything like that at this point.” Do you remember the attack on Pearl Harbor? Will Obama sit back or be on the internet giggling while missiles are falling on Hawaii? Let’s ask Admiral Timothy Keating, commander of U.S. forces in the Pacific, he said the U.S. is “fully prepared” to shoot down the missile. But Gates said such a response is unlikely. Do you see a conflict here, I do.
The message is Obama will not give any orders to defend this country, sure he speaks of additional troops in Afghanistan and Pakistan, that’s old Bush talk, don’t be fooled, Obama is just blowing air because of the G20 Summits this week. Gates also stated that the missile launch planned by dictator Kim Jong comes just two months after President Obama took office. Kim Jong and many others watched the elections last year, they know the lack of strength of Giggles, I mean Obama.
North Korea has moved a missile onto a launch pad and says it will be fired by April 8. The missile is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. The Obama administration has signaled it wants to scale back the deployment of a missile defense system that was initiated by former President George Bush. So he jumps back on t.v., I guess he’s star struck from Leno and makes his s second prime-time press conference to explain his projections about a $3.6 Trillion budget. Well I can explain this for you, he has no knowledge of finances.
Barack Obama sat down with Steve Kroft in a ’60 Minutes’ interview. It appears that Obama thinks that the situation that America is facing is funny. Look at his most recent activity, ‘The Tonight Show’ where he talked about his picks basketball, and joked about his bowling skills, even making fun at Special Olympics.
Lets go back to February 18 when the New York Post posted the cartoon of two police officers standing over the body of a chimp that was shot, you remember this, people from everywhere had something to say, you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing or reading something critizing this, now the President Of The United States, goes on the Tonight Show, delivered an 11.2/26 rating, was the show fourth highest rated metered market household rating in 16 years, makes a joke about his bowling while comparing it to Special Olympic. “No, no. I have been practicing,” Obama said. “I bowled a 129. It’s like — it was like Special Olympics, or something.” And the media buried it, like nothing happened. Obama staff tried to undo the damage by releasing a statement before the show aired stating the president in no way intended to disparage the Special Olympics.
Obama said his Thursday appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” is not keeping him from pressing matters. He’s right after you factor in the fact that Actors need The Tonight Show to promote their business. Don’t think for one minute that Obama didn’t make that appearance with no agenda in mind. Obama has used many media outlets to connect with as many Americans as possible, The View, Sunday morning talk shows and now Leno, joking about his bowling skills and made a off-handed remark “He bowled a 129, like the Special Olympics or something”. Now where is the outcry ! Then he remembered he was the president and started to discuss issues in Washington, the AIG bonuses and the performance of his treasury secretary.
Looking at the Media Coverage all day makes me wonder, do we have to put up with this for four more years. As usual I have to ask a question and get the answer. Who has been getting money from AIG ? and Why has the media avoided revealing that Our President Barack Obama received $104,332.00 from AIG. And YES, I know this is not from the bail out money. I thought I would share this information with you.

Jeremiah Wright is the reflection of Louis Farrakhan, they both teach the same principals. Obama used Wright as the cover because Wright was the closest source to the fire Obama needed. Now Osama bin Laden resurfaces.

I would not be surprised if this administration try a armored guard, after all look at the positives here, recycled metal, PETA will be proud of the horse training, the reduction of CO2 emissions, Ted Kennedy will be happy to put a suit on since he’s a Knight now, and maybe a picture of the new security will be given to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown next time he visits.

Nancy Pelosi said that the federal government may have to spend even more money to help the nation’s ailing economy. On top of the $1.6 trillion so far approved by Congress. What did American’s think Obama was going to do, when he got in office? Answer, what ever Nancy Pelosi said.

In August 2001 Bush allowed tax dollars to support studies to 21 already-existing cell lines. That meant that a provision renewed by Congress every year since 1996, banning research in which embryos are destroyed, no longer stood as an absolute barrier to the stem cell work.
