Why Be Selective, Robin Hood
When President Barack Obama lashed out at Wall Street executives for paying out billions in bonuses, why did he focus on Wall Street? Since Obama wants to attach the rich, aim your speech to your rich supports. Why attack Wall Street and ignore all these big business friends of yours, Oprah Winfrey.
This is that “lack of experience, when running things”, oh I forgot he poured hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars into the American financial system to save it from collapse but say “I will only raise taxes on corporations”, and these are the corporations he’s helping. The president said there was a time for corporate leaders to make profits and take home bonuses but now is “not that time.” Obama are you talking about all those rich Democrats that the media seems to look over.
“We’re going to be having conversations as this process moves forward directly with these folks on Wall Street to underscore that they have to start acting in a more responsible fashion,” Obama said. Is this referring to Warren Buffet? Democrats control both chambers so they don’t attack Russell Simmons or Sean Combs, his friends.
President Barack Obama imposed a $500,000 pay cap on some senior executives whose firms receive government financial rescue money, a dramatic intervention into corporate governance in the midst of financial crisis. I have not problem with this. My problem is, If you want to attack the rich, increase taxes on corporations that run the country, be selective, and most of all, Why Bail Out The Companies That Pay The Rich?
8,500 Congressionally designated projects in the bill and said the cost of these earmarks totaled $7.7 billion., up 3.4 percent from last year. Among the pet projects is one to help producers of genuine pork, in contrast to the Congressional variety. The bill includes $1.8 million to conduct research in Iowa on “swine odor and manure management.” The legislation includes $173,000 for research on asparagus production in Washington State; $206,000 for wool research in Montana, Texas and Wyoming; and $209,000 for efforts to improve blueberry production in Georgia. It also includes $208,000 to control a weed known as cogongrass in Mississippi; $1.2 million to control cormorants in Michigan, Mississippi, New York and Vermont; $1 million to control Mormon crickets in Utah; and $162,000 to control rodents in Hawaii. Democrats also earmarked money for the presidential libraries of three Democrats: Franklin D. Roosevelt ($17.5 million), John F. Kennedy ($22 million) and Lyndon B. Johnson ($2 million). Where is ANYTHING for Richard Nixon, Ronald W. Reagan, Gerald R. Ford? $200,000 for a “tattoo removal violence outreach program” in Los Angeles. Aides said the money would pay for a tattoo removal machine that could help gang members or others shed visible signs of their past, and anyone benefiting would be required to perform community service.
